Gossip to Spare

--Fabrice Fabrice is going to the VMA's! Just give him his own show, MTV. You know you want to.
--WAY TO GO: Joining the writing staff of MadTV is the UCBT's Sketch 101 instructor, Chris Kula.
--Jenna Fischer has split with her hubby of 6 years.
--Although there is no mention on the official Party Central USA website, it's being said that they have allegedly picked up a 4th member.
--We hear that Seth Herzog is on holiday in the country of Peru.
--In a couple of weeks, the Variety SHAC is self-releasing a DVD of their shorts and hosting a megaparty at the Knitting Factory to celebrate. We think more groups should be compiling DVDs of their material. Seems like a no-brainer to have merch available after sets at some shows.
--We received an email telling us that Bill Murray is working with Funny or Die.
--Someone else emailed us saying, "Do you usually post something on the SNL actor auditions?" We sure would like to!
--In an effort to keep pace with the NY Post's COMEDY VENUE TURNOVER SCOOPS, The Daily News discovers that the owner of Rififi has accepted an offer.
--We stopped by the opening night gala for The New York Television Festival Wednesday night. Area President of The Onion, Sean Mills, was SPOTTED chatting, mingling, and socializing. There wasn't any structure to the event, just a lot of booze, a couple hundred friendly go-getters, and one William Morris executive who looked like a craftier version of Scott Stapp. Although we heard more testimonials about business card maker, OvernightPrints.com, than we did about any of the pilots in the festival, we went ahead and skimmed through the schedule to find the MOST CULTURALLY RELEVANT programming. (All screenings are FREE and at New World Stages):

1) "Family Values", co-written by Rob Kutner of The Daily Show. Times: Friday @ 7 & Saturday @ 3:15
2) "Video Shmideo", a porno store office comedy produced by Ali Farahnakian. According to one person we talked to, the shoot took a turn for the guerilla when the whole crew was kicked out by the smut store's owner. Times: Friday @ 8PM & Saturday @ 10:30
3) "Redeeming Rainbow", written by Dan McNamara and starring Kurt & Kristen. Times: Friday @ 10PM & Sunday @ 2
4) "Apartment 413" by Josh & Tamra. Times: Friday @ 10:30PM & Sunday at 3
5) "Ex-Pats: Bangalore", by this dude Kevin who seemed like a chipper fellow. Playing with "Family Values." Friday @ 7PM & Saturday @ 3:15
