The Hollywood Reporter Fails to Break SNL News; The PIT Wants to Help You Achieve

The Hollywood Reporter just published an article today saying that SNL has added Andy Samberg and Bill Hader to the cast. The Apiary broke the story on August 16th which was further explored by Boing Boing. Can't believe someone was actually paid a ton of money to report news that is completely void of news. Blogs: the unpaid interns of journalism.

Here is some news! The PIT has just a few seats left for its class, Writing for SNL. It's taught by Ali Farahnakian--a master of the comedic arts. We spoke with someone at The PIT who confirmed that the class is not performance based. So, if you dislike acting and your goal is to write a tight packet of sketches, then this class is ideal.

Also! If anyone in The PIT's current Writing for SNLadies class would care to share what it's like, it would be extremely beneficial for those interested.

Ali in Shutterbugs: "Are you familiar with Michael Clark Duncan, from Green Mile, the Human Giant?" So, so funny.

anyone know why he's being credited with a different last name as of late?

I'm taking the snladies class, and I highly recommend it. She gives you a lot of tools to get started even when you're not feeling inspired, how to write with a partner, and how to focus your scenes. She's also a very open, approachable teacher. This is my first comedy writing class, so I don't know if it being all women makes that much of a difference. It's nice to be around a lot of funny ladies, though.
