Amy Sedaris and Judah Friedlander to Drop By The Sound of Young America Live in NY

WNYC is presenting an all-star live edition of The Sound of Young America on October 22nd at the station's performance venue, The Greene Space: 

The Sound of Young America, the Los Angeles-based, irreverent comedy-and-arts-interview public radio show that bills itself as the "anti-Prairie Home Companion," will return to New York City for its second stint at The Greene Space at WNYC.

Hosted by Jesse Thorn, The Sound of Young America – known for coming straight from Thorn’s living room – will present its signature blend of comedy, cabaret, and music in front of a live audience.

Thorn’s guests for the show include:

· AMY SEDARIS – Actress, comedienne and author of the upcoming book, Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People

· JOHN HODGMAN– Writer, actor and correspondent for The Daily Show

· JUDAH FRIEDLANDER – Star of NBC’s 30 Rock and author of the new book, How to Beat Up Anybody

· BARATUNDE THURSTON – Self-proclaimed “vigilante pundit,” co-founder of Jack and Jill Politics and web editor for The Onion

· LES SAVY FAV – The Brooklyn-based band, hailed by Kerrang! as "one of the most important bands the U.S. underground has thrown up in years,” will perform a set of their “brainy, brawny punk rock" (Entertainment Weekly)
