Q: What happens to SNL cue cards after the show?
A: "Old cue cards are placed on a giant pile backstage. Then, the art department uses them to cover the floor so when they paint the new sets, paint doesn't drip on the floor. Pretty anti-climactic. There's talk of trying to burn them as biofuel, but I don't think it's gonna go anywhere."
Q:We thought we'd see at least one on eBay...
A: "While a set of original cue cards from the 'More Cowbell' sketch might go for a lot of money on eBay, it would almost certainly mean termination once NBC finds out."

Interesting insight!!! Although it seems strange to be writing them by hand in this technological day and age...

If the unions weren't in place, they'd all be out of jobs.
