To celebrate the long awaited release of its Season 1 DVD, Gotham Comedy Club held a special live performance of 'Dr. Katz Professional Therapist', featuring Jonathan Katz, Jon Benjamin (as Dr. Katz's slacker son Ben), and special guest "patients" Susie Essman and David Cross. Despite our aversion to 2-drink minimums, The Apiary was there to join in the healing.

NOTES
-Jonathan Katz limped onto the stage with a cane (he mentioned a recent surgery). Even though it has been a while since Katz performed, his jokes were still as corny and wonderful as ever.
-After Katz' brief introductory set, the show took on the format of the tv show, complete with a live piano player to usher off patients when their session time was up. If you drank enough beers, you could even experience the show in squigglevision (TM).
-Susie Essman had a very nasty eye infection that made her look as though she was recently in a fist fight.
-At one point during Essman's session, her and Dr. Katz started singing selections from "The Pajama Game."
-David Cross used his therepy time to vent about the sexual quirks of his girlfriend, who makes David dress up as Jesus in the bedroom, crown of thorns and all.
