RIP, John 'Wimpy' Ward (1947-2010)

We are very sad to learn that John "Wimpy" Ward died on March 29. With his passing, the NY-comedy scene has lost one of its most recognizable and charming personalities. Ward, a senior Improv Everywhere agent, was proably best known for his portrayal of deceased author Anton Chekov. He was also a fixture at The UCB; yesterday, Improv Everywhereman Charlie Todd wrote: "Anthony King and Alex Sidtis installed a small plaque in his honor on the arm of the chair John sat in every week." He will be missed.

Dr. Wimpy is dead! Long live Dr. Wimpy!
