Has the Economy Affected You at All?

We were just wondering if you think the economic downturn has had a noticeable affect on the comedy scene and the industry around town. Have you seen an uptick in the number of gloomy faces in your crowds? Are opportunities drying up? Are the networks still listening to your pitches?

Or is everything totally fine?

That's a good question. It's weird because it basically seems to have come out of nowhere, and people are still walking around being normal while everyone's 401Ks are grinding down to nothing. But theoretically things will improve at some point, hopefully.

It's tough though because even when the economy was good, most comedians were making "I'm so poor" jokes, so there isn't much else you can add to that at this point, except for "I'm so poor.. and so are you!"

Based on this article, I'm going to predict that Funny or Die folds within the next 6 months.
