The women responsible for inspiring Julie Klausner and Sue Galloway to create the world of Betty & Joan, were at the final NYC Fringe Festival performance of Free to Be Friends. Oh yes, the real Carole & Paula, stopped by. Were they delighted or were they litigious?

i would have literally fainted if i came in contact with them. a few years ago i met them at a concert, took a picture with them, and then vomited a bit in my mouth because i was so excited.
