Look Who Stopped By!: It's Sara Schaefer!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Lisa Loeb was the musical guest at Sara Schaefer is Obsessed With You on Friday, June 17th. The Apiary did NOT get a ticket in time because the show sold out in MINUTES once the Lisa Loeb news scattered across the web. To everyone's credit, Sara's show is WICKED with or without Lisa Loeb, but the fact that she was going to be there playing in a tiny theatre, made us yearn for more details. The Apiary asked Sara how the show was and this is what she had to say!

The show was awesome. Lisa Loeb rocked it, she played 3 songs, one of which amazingly was "Stay" - and she sounded better than she does on record. Totally acoustic and no microphone, her voice filled the space. I did a short interview and she was really cool. At one point, we switched cat-eye glasses, which was awesome.

Overall I think the show was one of our best, which was great, given that it was standing room only, and that it was a special "taping" show with three cameras / microphones etc.

Our other guest was novelist Chris Genoa, who also happens to be my fiancee, so that was really fun. We did a fake Tom-Kat moment where I went to get him from backstage and he came out and freaked out like Tom did on Oprah, but went over the top, humping the copier machine and breaking Dan McCoy's neck. All the while screaming "LOVE! I LOVE THIS WOMAN!"

Anyway, we also had Johnny Spanish, our Law & Order guest. He was funny and has the uncanny ability to use the word "penetration" at minimum 7 times a minute.
