When Hipsters Attack!: Demetri Martin Narrowly Escapes Marginally Hostile Work Environment With Life, Limbs

Fake Century reports that Demetri Martin was allegedly almost assaulted with plastic beer bottles at one of the dismally empty Across the Narrows concerts at Coney Island.

Someone should've punched those stupid buttholes in their stupid faces!!!

Indie comedy and indie rock have been slowly intertwining over the last few years, thanks in part to advances lead by music fans Eugene Mirman, David Cross, and Fred Armisen, to name a few. However, despite some success at integration, RACIAL TENSION exists.

Demetri was a good sport about it. He just laughed it off. "Oh no, you're throwing fake beer bottles at me. I might get fake hurt".Like I said in my post, any comedian that plays a music show knows the audience isn't there to here comedy so they have to expect a certain level of hostility going in. I remember seeing Janeane Garofalo open up for Badly Drawn Boy at the Knitting Factory and she was apologizing before she even told one joke. Even Patton Oswalt at the Aimee Mann/Michael Penn shows got a cold reception. Thanks for the plug BTW.
