Win 40,000 Dollars From YouTube!
A powerful YouTube excutive wrote in to help spread the word about a big sketch comedy contest they're holding. 40,000 fat ones in cash and prizes are up for grabs.
Dear the Apiary,I'm writing to ask you really nicely to run an item about our sketch comedy contest, Sketchies 2.
There's a cash prize of $25,000, plus $15,000 in video production equipment on the table, and we're definitely looking for the kind of entries that should be a cake-walk for your average improv group.
The deadline for the first round (it's a two-round contest) is March 3rd.

I hope you might consider this something worth passing on to your readers. There are obviously a lot of sketch groups who use YouTube to reach a wider audience, but there are plenty more who don't and we'd love to see some new faces take a shot at this contest.
