The llama jumping competition was in Rhinebeck; it was majestic, as you can see.
Even more magnificent (albeit less photogenic) was the nearby pumpkin-chucking contest. Teams of high school kids built totally-MacGuyvered catapults, slingshots and trebuchets for the chucking of pumpkins for both distance and accuracy. The most impressive catapult was built out of an old Ford van that was still working. Man, I want a fucking catapult van for my next road trip, right?
