The Gag Reel
By: Mo Diggs

The most anticipated movie of the summer, The Ten, fizzled at the box office coming in at um... 37th place. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film, which was only released in 25 theaters nationwide, raked in a slim 1/8th of a million dollars. The strong dollars/theater numbers suggests the audience had a lot more faith in the movie than ThinkFilm did. But God Himself will have to intervene to put this star studded film in the green now.

Moving forward, SuperBad appears to be bookending the summer indie comedies on August 17th. Can Apatow strike gold twice in one season? I dunno, but it's looking certain that NEW HOLLYWOOD A-LISTER Patton Oswalt is gonna do it with Balls of Fury.

Slight clarification: the most anticipated comedy movie among the writers of a comedy nerd website.

I saw The Ten, and The Ten was awesome. It's rolling out in more theaters in the next few weeks.
