Working the Beat
--You might notice the line at Connecticut Muffin or the Food CoOp is exactly one guy longer. A.D. Miles has moved recently to DECADENT PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn. He is reportedly working on a tv series for Comedy Central right now. He is also really into world music these days.
--Speaking of muffins, we've received word that Michael Showalter was SPOTTED Sunday buying two of them at a Flatbush Avenue coffee shop; one for him and one for HIS COMPANION.
--Did anyone notice that The Bastion had an interview with Posh Spice's personal assistant last week? WTF.
--New York Approves of Fabrice Fabrice
--Time Out NY comedy editor Jane Borden spent the week at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Read about her journey at the TONY blog. Dead Frog and The Hater were there squeezing out the juice too.
--We hope no one got hurt tripping over DEALS DEALS DEALS in Montreal: Someone should check to see if Eugene Mirman, Kurt & Kristen, Buffoons, Hot Sauce, and Nick Thune are okay.
--BUZZING BY: If you're a reader of AST or The Coming, you know that LA goes ga-ga-ga-ga-ga for Jen Kirkman. She's gracing our coast for the DCM and for a couple of other rare appearances. Dates and times at her MySpace page.
--BUZZING BY: Daniel Kitson flies in from Great Britain for a CBS/NYC Presents show at Mo's July 30th. Guh, PERHAPS he's taking meetings while he's here too... Both Kirkman and Kitson are scheduled to perform at Tearing the Veil of Maya at Union Hall next Sunday. Here's a review of Kitson's show last year.
--BUZZING BY: Oh yeah... PRETTY MUCH EVERYBODY. What a week!
