May Sweeps Heats Up With Molly Shannon's Ladybumper
The network censors have let America down again. They failed to intercept the graphic imagery aired this past weekend by those PURVEYORS OF PRIVATES, Saturday Night Live. Guest Host Molly Shannon paraded around in a stretchy red pantsuit so lurid it would make a great American Apparel ad.
An Imagined Conversation Between Two SNL Executives:
SNL Executive #1: What are we going to do for May Sweeps?
SNL Executive #2: Three words: Molly. Shannon. Cameltoe.
SNL Executive #1: You deserve a raise.
A rattled Rachel Sklar writes about the incident at Eat The Press: "And then she hiked her pantsup very, very high, and put her foot on Darrell Hammond's head, and I said, 'OH, MY GOD!' out loud to my television set, as all the while she gestured proudly at what was outlined therein."

I loved it! All she needed was a pair of Ugg boots and I would pitch all of my Cameron Diaz photos from my sock drawer. She also did a spot on imitation of a hack female comic during "Update" that would give Christopher Hitchens a beaming nod of validation for his Vanity Fair article.

That toe was deep. And wide. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

May sweeps are always interesting. Usually, as television shows get better, the news gets worse. Michael Sebastian does a good job poking fun at local news here: http://www.unboundedition.com/content/view/508/50/
He points out some really interesting truths.
All that said, Molly Shannon should appear on SNL every week. The show was the best it's been in a while.

Greatest performance from a camel toe since the series finale of Designing Women.

I was embarrassed at first when I was focused on her "toe". I wondered if I was the only one that was seeing it. Then when she copped to it, I just starting busting my gut. GREAT comedy, great actress, and sort of sexy too! Alas, my shame left me!!
