The Year End List | Nominations
Obviously, there is no greater honor than winning Time's Person of the Year--congratulations to each of you. However, this site would like to bestow some added recognition on the stars and rising talents of the NYC comedy universe. If you could, please take a few minutes and think about the shows, the performers, and the moments that impacted you the most in 2006 and send in nominations to theapiary@gmail.com or leave them in the comments below. Undecided still whether it's better to do a poll or have a panel of comedy experts do the judging. Please forward your nominations (and category suggestions too, if necessary) so no one is forgotten.

Not in accordance with these categories, but also of note in stand-up are the new addition to the scene JOHN OLIVER who is incredibly talented and has killed audiences every time I've seen him, and highly improved JOHN MULANEY whose already hilarious act has gotten ridiculously tight. I nominate them for Best Johns.
