Royal We Confirm Pilot Deal With TV Land
This may not be news to comedy INSIDERS, but we've been told by a source close to the sketch group The Royal We that, "The light turned Green. The ink has dried. The checks have been deposited." Meaning basically that the unofficial rumor of TRW's pilot deal with TV Land is now official and can be openly talked about in the finer airport lounges, mess halls, and locker room showers across the country.
There seems to be a healthy seller's market right now for sketch groups. Whle the terms of TRW's contract are unknown to us, we've been told that some of the other groups who have shopped their wares around have walked away from the table with favorable artistic deals that include healthy budgets and ownership rights.
