Demetri Martin, Man of A Million Deals
Demetri Martin was in the news again yesterday for selling the rights to Columbia Pictures for a new project called Moon People. Back in April of 2006, comedian Steve Byrne said of Demetri Martin, "Stop trying to be funny." Good thing Demetri paid no attention to Steve's bad advice because here's a quick list of what's on Martin's immediate plate:
--An upcoming album in the Fall
--An ad campaign for the Microsoft corporation
--Punching in at The Daily Show
--A 25-city stand-up tour
--Keeping in touch with his 50,000 MySpace friends
--Publishing a book
--Prepping the relaunch of www.demetrimartin.com
--And all the projects that haven't been publicized yet
How does he keep track of all this stuff? And what kind of Palm Pilot can even handle this expansive amount of day planning?

Stephen Byrne is a second rate Dave Cook. I misspell names on purpuse because I don't need any angry e-mails from these guys. It's happened before!
