L.A. Comic Mike O'Connell Blows Audience Away at Eating It
Matt wrote in about Tuesday's revival of the comedy showcase, Eating It:
It was a fun show with a really great lineup (Mike Birbiglia, Ted Alexandro, Christian Finnigan, Todd Barry). Kristen Schaal hosted and Andy Blitz was a surprise drop in. He did a joke about The Sopranos, which was cool because none other than Steven 'Bobby Bacala' Scherripa and Vince 'Johnny Sack' Curatola were sitting at a table in the audience. But the biggest surprise for me was this L.A. comedian Mike O'Connell, who closed the show. I've never even heard of him and he completely blew me away. His whole stage persona was that of a raving, whiskey-soaked, Falkner-esque madman and he did not let up for a minute of his set. Have you ever heard of him?

Matt,
Yes, he is from my home town in Northfield Il. His mother tought me how to swim, and he was my an assistant coach for my football team. He was always funny. My brother went to Tulane university and Mike was down there at the same time working the comedy clubs. Expect big things from him!
