Theater Goers Prepare For XXX Action at Rebecca Drysdale's New Show
The UCBT points to a WRITE UP IN TIME MAGAZINE of Rebecca Drysdale's show Rebecca Drysdale: One Woman in Several Pieces.
At the end of her new show at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City, she strips totally naked and mimes her entire preshow shower ritual to the strains of Helen Reddy's Candle on the Water.
Using full frontal nudity to cap a performance might entrance devoted theatre aesthetes viewing a stage adaptation of the cancer memoir, WIT... but how will JOE & JANE COMEDY FAN react to seeing Rebecca's bouncing breasts under those hard ellipsoidal lights?

Um, if they are going to the UCB, they probably like theater and art already. Otherwise, Joe and Jane will have an awkward ride home when Joe tells Jane he was not turned on because he's gay and his marriage to Jane is bankrupt.

Hey, I'm doing some tech for this show. Thought the nudity would eventually get noticed, but rest assured, the scene is totally well-thought-out and worth it and not really that sensationalistic within the context of the show. Becky does good work even when she's not naked. I love her.

are we really to believe that the only acceptable context in which a woman's naked body should be viewed is through the sanitized, emotionally-devoid world of science and medicine ("wit"). not only has the apiary missed the boat on the entire point of drysdale's piece, it has insulted the impact of award-winning playwriting. if the sight of a woman's naked body is the strongest thing with which one leaves drysdale's show, i feel sympathy for our theatre-making community. at least the thesaurus-making world remains intact, helping uninspired and uninformed people have dull responses to great works of theatre.
and drysdale's breasts look great under any lighting.

I haven't had a chance to make an uninformed and dull response to the show yet. I'm responding to the write-up. Planning on checking it out soon though, I hear great things.

Man, I've seen full frontal nudity at UCB several times. Male and female.

I've seen Falcon dip his testicles into Gemberling's mouth on the UCB stage... hot

Becky is one of my funniest children. Notwithstanding the fact that I can't stand Helen Reddy, I have no problem with her scene. Becky's Dad
