Globeshattering Connection Between Michael Showalter and We Are Scientists Located
While trying to score tickets to this Thursday's We Are Scientists show at The Bowery Ballroom, The Apiary stumbled upon a mystery as profound and guarded as The Leonardo Da Vinci Code.
Central Village, who does not have spare tickets, said:
Michael Showalter is DJing the We Are Scientists Afterparty at Rothko on thursday...Coincidentally, my friend pointed out a few weeks ago that the lead singer of WaS looks like Showalter. Secret cousins?

The Apiary then consulted Brooklyn Vegan for a ticket and for a take on the Showalter/WaS connection--but mostly for a ticket, mind you--and without any explanation, we were provided a link to the following 5 page thread on the official WaS message board:

As the allegations swirl, the WaS frontman tearfully breaks down and confesses the whole truth somewhere on page 1 of the thread:
I should confess, though, that the three of us have been insanely devoted Stella fans for years, now,and have litterally been hounding David Wain to direct a video for us. *Literally* hounding! I don't know what that means.
My god, I'm in love with David Wain. Can we please start a discussion re: my resemblance to him?
A not very interesting fact: we share a booking agent with Stella. I vow that before our career has ended, we will share a stage with those fuckers.
